AMSOIL Bypass Oil Filter for 6.7L Cummins
For a Cummins truck, check the specific bypass-filter kit, mounting location, oil connections and model-year fitment before ordering. A bypass system supplements rather than replaces the regular full-flow filter.
Check the kit, connections and installation requirements before you buy.

Check your truck before ordering BMK34
BMK34 is a remote bypass-filter system for supported Cummins applications. AMSOIL currently lists 2004–2024 Cummins 5.0L, 5.9L and 6.7L engines. Confirm the exact application on the product page; do not extend that listing to newer trucks.
Its extra filter works alongside your normal full-flow filter. A mounting location, a pressurized oil supply and an oil return must all be planned before installation.
What is included, and what may be extra?
| Component | Before you buy |
|---|---|
| Filter and mount | The installation sheet lists an EaBP90 bypass filter and a remote filter-mount assembly. |
| Hoses and connections | The listed kit includes hose, fittings, mounting hardware and an oil-return filler cap. Compare your package with the official parts list. |
| Optional adapter | BK1104 is not included. AMSOIL says it may be needed when neither oil-supply plug on the full-flow filter housing is accessible. |
| Installation supplies | Plan for the oil service, required tools and any paid installation labor separately. |
Plan the installation
Check the filter-housing ports first. Choose a supported mounting point with room to remove the filter later. Route hoses clear of exhaust heat and rubbing points, with room for engine movement. Follow the official instructions for fittings, assembly and leak checks.
AMSOIL recommends an oil and filter change when installing the system. The video below is an installation example; the current instructions for your kit control the job.

Budget for ongoing maintenance
The bypass element and the engine's full-flow filter perform different jobs. Match replacement elements to the system, inspect hoses and connections, and follow the limits for the exact filter and application. Do not use a bypass filter as a reason to ignore oil condition or the engine's service requirements.

Deciding whether it is worthwhile
The right purchase depends on mileage, towing use, installation cost and your maintenance goals. Read our bypass-filter value guide before committing to a system.
Common questions
Does a bypass filter replace the normal oil filter?
No. It adds a separate filtration path alongside the full-flow filter.
Does BMK34 fit every 6.7L Cummins?
Do not assume that it does. Confirm your truck year, engine, available oil-supply connection and current AMSOIL fitment before ordering.
Can I extend oil changes after installing it?
Installation alone does not establish a longer drain interval. Follow the applicable oil, filter and engine guidance; use oil analysis when evaluating oil condition.
